I gave our table a little spring makeover with some giant spring branches. I found some as a Doorbuster Deal at Michaels on Sunday for 60% off and then put them into a giant vase I found at Savers and popped some spring eggs into it. I LOVE these giant branches… it makes the whole kitchen area feel special! For Easter morning I plan on having a simple little spread of my mom’s Lemon Bread and Blueberry Cakes and some quiche I’ll get from Whole Foods. We have church at 10am so I just want something easy because we know from personal experience that getting six of us out of the house on Sunday mornings is no easy feat.
I generally don’t spend much on the kids’ Easter baskets… probably $10-$12 apiece. I put art supplies, fun band-aids (my kids are OBSESSED with band-aids), scrunchies for Elle (can you believe they are back in style???) in the baskets which I got at Target last year.
We try to keep the whole meaning of Easter around Jesus and the resurrection while still having fun with Easter baskets and Easter egg hunts. If you are in our area and don’t have a church we’d love to have you come to ours. We are at Cornerstone Church in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA and the service it at 10am.
Have a great day!
